PRI Art/Graphic Requirements
Please submit your artwork using the following program guidelines:
Macintosh:
- Quark Express
- Adobe Photoshop (unflattened)
- Adobe Illustrator
- Adobe InDesign
|
Windows:
- Quark Express - v.3-4
- Adobe Photoshop (unflattened)
- Adobe Illustrator
- Adobe InDesign
- Corel Draw
|
Images:
- Format: .tif, .tiff, .psd or .eps (please do not send .jpg, .jpeg, .pict, .gif, et cetera.)
- Output Resolution: 300 dpi
- Linked/Imported/Placed Artwork: Include all original artwork as separate elements
Colors:
Please make sure that you specify your job colors exactly how you'd like to see them printed. If using spot colors, please specify swatch values whenever possible. Examples include:
- Solid: Pantone 347 C: R: 0 G: 155 B: 72
- Process: Pantone 347 PC: C:96 M:0 Y:88 K:1
Scanning:
When scanning artwork for your printed project, we recommend using the following settings:
- Photos: 300 dpi or Higher
- Line Art: 1200 dpi or Higher
Fonts:
Font problems are common due to a large variety of manufacturers and version compatibility.
Please include all printer and screen fonts used in your document to ensure that your job
prints exactly to your specifications. Note: Convert to outlines wherever possible.
To convert your fonts, use the following steps:
Adobe Illustrator:
- Open File
- In Your Main Menu Choose Select > All
- In Your Main Menu Choose Type > Create Outlines
- In Your Main Menu Choose File > Save As > use the "save as type" drop down menu and select .eps name your file accordingly.
Corel Draw:
- Open File
- In Your Main Menu Choose Edit > Select All > Text
- In Your Main Menu Choose Arrange > Convert to Curves
- In Your Main Menu Choose File > Export > use the "save as type" drop down menu and select .eps > Click Export
- Change Resolution to 300 dpi before selecting OK. Name your file accordingly
